63rd Annual Juried Member Exhibition September 8 - October 3 Reception: Friday, September 11, 6:30-8:30 Watercolor and water media paintings juried into the 63rd Annual Southwestern Watercolor Society Membership Exhibition will be on exhibit starting on Tuesday, September 8, 2026 at the SP/N Gallery on the campus of the University of Texas at Dallas, Richardson, TX. In addition, the gallery spaces will be shared with Faculty from the Bass School of Arts, Humanities, and Technologies at UT-Dallas who will be exhibiting their work, as well. During the exhibition, as an arts community we will be collecting new unwrapped art supplies for the children (ages 1-18) for the Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center. https://dcac.org. The exhibitions will run through Saturday, October 3, 2026 and are open to the public. The watercolor exhibition of 78 paintings juried from 280 entries will feature all types of water media paintings on paper from abstract to realistic. Most of the paintings will be for sale. Artists hail from the DFW region, Texas, and around the nation. Located on the far northwest corner of campus in Synergy Park North, building 2 the SP/N Gallery address is: 3020 Stewart Drive, Richardson TX 75080. The public may view the exhibition for free any time during the SP/N Gallery hours, which are Tuesdays , Wednesdays, and Saturdays; 11:00am - 4:00pm: Thursdays and Fridays: 1:00pm - 6:00pm. Juror for the Southwestern Watercolor Society’s Exhibition and selection of awards is internationally known artist, Stephen Zhang, AWS, Associate Professor of Communication Design at the University of North Texas. Award winners will be announced on September 11 during the reception. ABOUT SOUTHWESTERN WATERCOLOR SOCIETY: Dallas-based Southwestern Watercolor Society (SWS), a 501(c)3 was formed in 1964 and has approximately 400 members.
